Important information about opening an account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.

In order to make the application process as easy as possible, please have the following information available for yourself and any joint applicants:

Date of Birth
Your current address
Your previous address (if you have lived at your home address less than two years)
Valid identification information (including number, issue, and expiration date)
Telephone number
Email address

If you are not a U.S. citizen or are subject to backup withholding, you will not be able to apply online. Please call us at 865-971-1971 or 800-264-1971 or visit a UT Federal Credit Union branch to apply. Branch locations and hours can be found at https://www.utfcu.org.

If you would like to add beneficiaries to your account(s), please also have the following information available regarding your beneficiaries:

Membership Requirements

You may become a member of UT Federal Credit Union by opening a Primary Savings Account. A minimum balance of $5 is needed to open a savings account. As a member, you will have the opportunity to apply for, or use, any UT Federal Credit Union services.

Select one of the following criteria, which will qualify you for membership. If the first three options do not apply, you can also join UTFCU by selecting the Legacy Parks Foundation option. UTFCU will automatically pay your one-time donation on your behalf. You will receive correspondence from Legacy Parks once the donation made on your behalf is processed and you officially become a Legacy Parks Foundation supporter!
